Fins

These tend to be shorter than the scuba style you pick up on holiday. They enhance your kick and, like the kickboard, offer a great quad workout. They also loosen up your ankles for swimming as runners apparently develop stiff ankles. Like the kickboard I loathe them but they are a very good weapon in your arsenal.


PLEASE NOTE: Fins can only be worn if you're in a club training session. Most pools won't let you use them outside of this environment for health and safety reasons. If you aren't considering joining either a swimming club or pool-based tri club then I would save your money.
