Time Trial

400m is your distance.  That's 16 lengths of a 25 metre pool.  Why this distance?  Most sprint tris are pool based and this is the max distance they tend to use.  Open Water is a different animal and you don't have to contend with a 180 degree turn every 25 metres.
 
The 1st time you do this you're setting a target.  The next time you do it try to beat this target.  If you spend enough time training and doing your speed work you'll surprise yourself.
